It's as much of a choice as being a pedophile, a pyromaniac, violent, or any number of other sins. It makes no difference. If you have those tendencies, you must learn to control them to be real member of society. We're all sinners and God has instructed us to overcome them. As was said before, there is NO temptation to strong for us to overcome. God has promised to give us a way out before we do the act...every time.

And, you seem conveniently to have ignored the examples of "pedophilia, bestiality, necrophilia, etc., etc., etc. ". Deviancy is deviancy - and you say it is criminal if parents don't support deviancy. Let's see - "I am a sexual deviant, and my mom and dad don't support my deviant behavior - so I must commit suicide". Seems to be something deviant in your thinking.

As a fan of professional football and the NFL I couldn't give a rats ass what he is. First, as is typical of the media, they are making this into something much larger than it is. Do you really think he will be the first gay in the league? I think not. What I find most amusing, or will when it happens, is the thought of when this guy starts leveling dudes on the field. Picture that........big strong gay man levels another player. Now that will make for some interesting locker room conversations for sure.

God loves all of us and gives us His grace even while we are still living sinful lives. The sin of a homosexual relationship is no worse in God�s eyes than the sin of self-righteousness or judging others or hypocrisy or misrepresenting the gospel, etc..

The homosexuals are demanding that God accept them 'just as they are'. It won't happen. The Bible clearly calls homosex a gross sin that can be forgiven through repentance. But, they won't ask for forgiveness. They won't make any attempt to change. They like their degeneracy. God doesn't. All the talk you can do about God's mercy, His grace,etc. is wasted if they won't acknowledge their sin and repent. Jesus said that if we love him, we will keep his commandments. One of those commandments, given through Paul, is to abstain from all manner of sexual sin. There is forgiveness for all sins, but only if we repent and attempt to change.

Maybe him and Rodgers can be lovers?

Everyone is born normal. Some CHOOSE to be abnormal. The rest have "chosen" to stay normal.

nwa, you do not seem to be able to discern the difference between "hungry" and "disgusted". The news media has been hungry and the public has discussed this widely in differing ways. Why would the Campfire gang address it differently?

Folks in this thread have not bitten on anything - they have commented with differing points of view ranging from "I don't care" to "this should be interesting" to "how will this affect his draft round" to "look how the media handles this" to "why did this guy choose to reveal his deviancy now?" along with other such comments and questions.

Some folks here also, in their own ways, have acknowledged the abnormalcy of the situation and the matter of homosexual behavior itself, and have discussed how they think God views such. No one here deferred to or gave much credence to your escapist euphemism "gay" - just plain folks here understand and deal with homosexuality as deviant behavior. Deviancy CAN BE interesting, even if sometimes disgusting.

In this giant fudge packers case I refuse to give him any reason to seek me out - so my comments are somewhat reserved in this instance!
Most folks are not aware of just how prevalent homosexuality and bisexuality are in the black community!

He is just a middle of the road talent. He probably has lowered his value, many teams won't want to deal with the media that will follow him. He is smart. Now he is already famous, will write a book, do the talk shows, and make a ton of money even if his NFL career doesn't work out.

And Incest and Bestiality are not a choice either. People are born that way.
