Im always looking for drills and means of documenting skill on a variety of courses, anyone care to share their agency drills or qualification courses?

Here is my old agency qual, we used IPSC targets, anything C or better was a point anything else was a 0. Qualifying was 38/40 and all rounds had to at least hit the target someplace. Keeping every round in the A got a rifle pin to wear with class A uniform.

40 round total with 2 20 round magazines

Distance, position, #of rounds, time, on command
75 yards
field rest, 5, 5 sec, 1 rd to body, 5x

50 yards
prone, 4, 5 sec, 2 rds to body, 2x
barricade, 4, 5 sec, 2 rds to body, 2x
kneeling, 4, 5 sec, 2 rds to body, 2x
stand/kneel, 3, 12 sec, 2 rds to body stand, kneel, reload, 1 to body

25 yards
standing, 4, 5 sec, 1 to body, 1 to head, repeat 2x
stand/kneel,4 , 6 sec, from stand 1 to body kneel and 1 to head

From low ready
10 yards
standing, 2, 2 sec left pivot to body
standing, 2, 2 sec right pivot to body
standing, 2, 2 sec 180deg pivot to body
standing, 2, 2 sec 1 to head, 2x

3 yard
CQB , 2 , 2 sec 2 rounds to body
CQB , 2 , 2 sec 1 hand, 2 to body

Hunt hard, kill clean, waste nothing and offer no apologies.

I can't recall ours offhand, but it only goes back to fifty yards. I can pass it with my pistol.

Paul Howe has published his instructor standards. They've always been good for a quick self evaluation.

I do not have ours handy, but ours also goes back to 50 yards. We shot so many at 50 yards your option of position, then 25 yards standing and I think 15 yards standing. Then we had to start at the 10 yard line and while advancing towards the target had to fire 3 rounds on the move to the 5 yard line. Then at the 5 yard line on command we had to retreat to the 10 yard line while firing 3 rounds on the move.

The total was 50 rounds on a B21E Target and 38 out of 50 had to be inside of the coke bottle shape on the target. If I remember right the lowest score was like 45 or 47 out of 50.

Ours starts at 100 with two two round drills. If you use an optic (non-magnified only for non-SWAT) you have to remove the optic after the first shot and fire the second with iron sights.
