Anyone catch the 99's in the glass cased gun cabinet Monday night on buying Alaska? The home was north of Fairbanks "in the wilderness" as they call it. On direct tv its channel 286 - Destination America.

Usually airs on Monday's & Tuesdays. Its a three show rotation,.... Buying the Bayou, buying Hawaii, & buying Alaska. Some crazy property prices, but the wife and I like guessing which one (out of 3) the couple picks and how much duck.

Alaska "reality" shows. OMG... We Alaskans do enjoy a good laugh from them every once in a while.
However, I surely would have watched that episode had I known there would be 99s.

Sayak, I imagine the Alaskan Tourism Bureau doesn't hold the TV show Alaska State Troopers in high regard! Nothing but drug and alcohol problems shown.

I believe that there are probably lots more in the Southeast part of AK, where it is thick rain forest and lotsa deer. In most of Alaska, with wide open spaces and mountain hunting, the bolt action has been king for a century.

Sensationalism. We have plenty of social problems up here, but probably no more than anywhere else. They just seem more intense with our smaller population, maybe.
Up here everyone is armed, and there are hardly any gun laws other than a few statutes and, of course, the federal laws.
