Thanks for posting, Charlie. I've mentioned this before, but back in the late 50's someone from Polaris shoed up at my dad's garage with 2 machines. He was trying to set up dealers. Dad turned him down. 10 years later dad was selling snowmobiles.

Thats copper Lager Tom. Not Copper Ale. Good thing to see David in that news article. He still comes walking by and says hi here in the office a few times a week to visit. Definetly super guy and came up with a great product.

Not to be confused with "copper logger" which is is when dave socks the chainsaw into a tree for camp firewood and he hits one of Tzone's 270 bullets in the middle of the tree.

whistle

This story can only be partially true.... tzone hasn't had a 270 since 2001. I shot that tree in 2009. grin And it was with a 7600 30-06, 165gr core-lokt

I did shoot that dang tree tho.

I figured I was mistaken when I wrote 270. I do remember it was a 30-06.

I've been meaning to cut that tree down and take the chunk with the bullet hole for a trophy to hang on the wall at the shack. grin

I do love the decoy story too.

lol!

I just may buy a few decoys just too keep things interesting around camp during these low deer population years.

I'm kind surprised it wasn't done that day. That was a good shot, that tree wasn't a very big diameter. laugh

Bill,
We needed a little more fiber in the schickenbuck diet.

Then Ryan needs to come back. My money is on him shooting the first one. As long as there's not a mouse anywhere near it. grin

I got a new Chickenbuck swamp walking stick. A 7600 carbine, 30-06. I was thinking of the blind we build by the clear cut when I shouldered it at the gun shop.

It was the biggest buck I saw all season.......come to think of it, it was the ONLY buck I saw all season!

Did any of you guys ever run across the DNR boys set up with the stuffed "robo deer" trying to nail guys shooting from trucks? I hunted up by Bay Lake one time and they had a sting set up. Never heard how many they nailed on that one.
