I think lee would be further ahead putting in mandrels another. 0015" under what they do. Can't count the times the standard mandrel hasn't sized enough for me.
I've sanded almost every mandrel I have and also ordered some undersized from lees grouchy order taker.
Btw...most mandrels are identical....ie same mandrel in my 308, 3006,300win,300wby. One mandrel can quickly be jockey'd.

I must say that with the die set up instructions you PM'd me a while back, everything has been working to perfection and I use the die with my Rock Chucker for my .280 Rem brass.

I set mine up to size the neck properly with the press fully cammed over, I don't have a calibrate arm so fully cammed means consistent for me; a crap ton more consistent than leaning on the arm. Redding Big Boss II if it matters.

All you have to do is move the brass to the mandrel, more pressure does nothing, except maybe break things. I apply pressure, turn a half turn and do it again. miles

Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.

Slightly less than a half turn is even better.

Exact same thing happened to me. Just picked up another one.

The die didn't 'break', you were on the way to breaking it and that alum top cap stripped out. It's designed to do that rather than damaging the press or doing more serious damage to the die.

Lighten up; once the neck is hard against the mandrel it can't go any further no matter how hard you push down.
