You might want to consider posting this at MarlinOwners.com I think you'd get a little more action there. And if you're going to own one, they're a good bunch of guys to get to know......and if you come to your senses and decide you'd really rather have a .35 Remington, hit me up. I've got one more than I need.

rem700bdl,
Just a heads up...depending on where you live $300 might not be a realistic amount for a really good conditon 336. Here in Montana the good ones are between $400 and $500.
Good luck with your search, I sure like mine!

A $300 all original marlin......good luck with that! If you find a couple I would like one!

If you are really patient you can find one for 300, it will be because someone listed it without realizing what they could get for it.
...on earth as it is in Texas.

There are several on Armslist between $300 and $400, but thought I would try here also. Maybe $300 is a little low, but a guy has to start somewhere.

$350 is a more reasonable expectation for a nice one.

I don't ever see nice ones go for much less than $400 around here although that depends on what you are looking for... Walfletop? Ballard rifling, pre crossbolt safety or just any marlin. I'd say you could find A 336w for $300 but I doubt any of the more desire able ones unless someone makes a mistake as an above poster has said.

I've got one more than I need. You will have to just look for postings on the Marlin Owners classified sections until you have 25 posts of your own. They come up pretty often. The 336s chambered in .35 Remington command a higher price. I like the 35 but a lot of guys on Marlin Owners argue the 30-30 is just as good/better. I have several of both plus a lot of other chamberings in Marlin levers. Here's a link to a 30-30 for sale on Marlin Owners for $350. It is the second rifle. The 39A (22 rf) is sold. http://www.marlinowners.com/forum/rifles-sale-wanted/138472-marlin-39a-marlin-03030-sale.htmlGood Luck!

It's true that you cannot post something FOR SALE until you have 25 posts. Don't think anybody'd mind a WTB post, though.

I have a Glenfield but I stripped the buttstock and have not finished it yet. Solid rifle, under $300, needs a little sanding.
