Good to see they caught up with a shady outfitter that was raping the land. This one hits close to home because I hunt Frontier county myself. http://www.mccookgazette.com/story/2051344.html

Sounds to me like everyone got off easy. In both NE and SD.

All involved should have been declared felons. Given the numbers, these were not a product of some accidental take or oversight.

I have had the unfortunate displeasure of meeting this son of a shoat and his prissy hateful natured little wife. I am not at all surprised he was involved in a big poaching operation. A very deserving end for a mouthy, arrogant prick.

I appreciate this forum and the great people on it. Used to be somebody could do this and very few people would find out about it. It's great to be able to spread the word about criminals like these. Hillbilly if you run into him again kick him in balls and let him know it's a special delivery from Frontier county.

Sounds to me like everyone got off easy. In both NE and SD. hate to say it, but if they got off that easy, where is the real justice involved here?

Jason Edney made a plea deal and was convicted of a felony violation of the "Lacey Act No more firearms for him. Cant get an outfitters license here any more, and neither can his wife. Don't even know if he can bow hunt in this state as crossbows are legal, and considered a dangerous weapon.

The worst part of this is how many people do this regularly/daily and don't get caught, let alone a weak sentence.

I guess all that television time made them think the rules no longer applied to them.
I'll bet the Drury's are conducting a little damage control.

Seems to me to be appropriate sentence for a violation of one or two poached deer. But truckloads? They got off cheap enough to make it seem like a minor cost of doing business!

Elkslayer53: Good work on part of the game department officials there and good riddance to the criminals! Thanks for the link. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
