I've shot one, it works well in the open areas. One local hunter I know well swears by his, and has decent success every year (six deer this year, that I know of) with his setup. His is on a Z-7 and zeroed per the instructions. Think he's on his second or third year of using it.

In my hunting areas, there are numerous tiny tree limbs that I don't always see without the maginification of the binos or rangefinder. I'm concerned I'll mis-range a shot from a short return that I didn't see. In more open areas, I'd use one.
