I got a whole bunch of 75 gr Amax. That's my goto bullet. Have debated trying some 62 gr TSX for deer, but will probably stick with the Amax (especially seeing as I actually have them!).

I've got to get my Leup 6x sent in for a CDS here pretty soon before spring arrives. Also, still debating having the .223 AI'd. We'll see....

I kept looking at all the shiny stuff on there OSU, and had to resist. I Think Pharm had a thread about the recoil lug, and how it preforms. Otherwise, I am trying to stay away from some of that stuff until I shoot it some! But that site seems great.

Expat, sounds like a wise decision on the ammo. Just for testing like you mention, boxes of 10 would work?

And Mojo, your rifle makes me want to paint mine too it looks so good! But I'm gonna hold off. Haha.

Thanks for all the constructive Tikka stuff guys!

Lightened trigger, Limbsaver, aluminum shroud and modded mag for the heavies. Phenomenal shooter. I used the stock rings on this one and my SL in .308 with zero issues. They are ugly so I'll probably get some of the modded Talleys here soon.

Just painted the stock last week. First time for me. I'm going to do the .308 next. Probably do a similar winter scheme on the .308 and might redo the .223 to a desert/sage scheme.

Enjoy your Tikka. They're awesome.

I like that paint job. How did you do it?

Spray cans and those foam 'brushes'. Put a flat black base coat over the whole stock then sprayed really close runny lines that I dragged out with the foam for the 'marbling'. Then I sprayed the various colors on a tray and dipped the foam brush in and dabbed the stripes.,

Also painted the whole barrel and action with a charcoal base coat before doing the camo on the barrel in the same way.
