Many of us like to joke about Spam. The truth of the mater someone is eating it. Hormel is expanding to add another facility that is producing Spam. They are going to start to produce it in Dubuque, IA.

I would eat once in a while. Now that I have limited the salt in my diet I can not longer eat it. For those of you that do there should be more out there for you now.

25% Less sodium.

That brings it down to pork rinds soaked in soy sauce.

That's the stuff we're not supposed to feed pets anymore.

I don't eat spam but as a kid whenever I wanted a quick sandwich, my grandmother would give me a can of potted meat.

I just acquired a taste for it as a kid, and even though I hardly ever eat it anymore, I have a pavlov's dog type response when I see a can of it.

I doubt there is much difference between spam and potted meat in terms of what its made from.

I don't mind it at all. Grew up eating it on family camping/fishing/hunting trips. I'm still here.

Can't be any worse than the rat turds, mouse hair, and insect parts in our cereal. Think they call them inert ingredients.

For sure.
