The apple fritters recipe looks fantastic. I can't wait to try those!

Just loaded up and printed. Thanks again for the copy and info beyond rifle gack, although that's what draws us. I would just like to know if you feel any responsibility for our weaknesses that your work tends to feed. Like acquisitions or sales of rifles, or redefining what we "need". At weak moments in life, like sons going off to college, making stupid decisions to sell a 35 Whelen rebored by Cliff LaBounty w/ a 1-12 twist, or that dumb-ass article on "30 Somethings", regarding 300 Holland, 30/40 Krag, and 300Savage. Old rifles are like pretty women, good looking and dangerous. You don't have to feed our weaknesses. I guess you're like most of us over 60, no shame. Keep up the good work.

Naw, I don't feel the slightest bit of shame about feeding weaknesses! Rifle loonies, like drug addicts, always require some sort of fix. If something I write kicks a vague desire into a raging want, then the "problem" is already so far along that another old rifle can be triggered (sorry, couldn't help myself) by watching classic Westerns or reading pre-1980 GUN DIGESTS.

Thanks,

I appreciated your thoughts on the 22LR shortage. I have been able to convince my 6-year old he can't go to the range with me until it's warm enough to shoot without gloves. Good thing, because I only have 800 or so rounds of 22LR for him!

Sounds like you need to buy an air rifle! A decent model with a pile of pellets can be purchased for what some people pay for two bricks of .22 ammo these days.

Just remembered: Another alternative is to handload cheap centerfire ammo. I've heard rumors that one magazine is going to publish an article on that very subject within he next couple months.

Funny, Barsness doesn't sound Silcilian.
