Funny. I though this thread would generate more fine examples of nostalgic eye candy. I'll try to do my part This first one is a Savage 99K. Not so rare you say. I think this one is. It's a solid frame gun instead of a T/D. It was returned to the factory 6 months after shipment for unspecified work. The Savage historian's opinion is that it was converted at that time. The K was only catalogued as a T/D. This is another that makes me very happy. This is an 1895 Savage. It's a tough one to find let alone in this configuration. It is a barrel band saddle ring carbine. And before I completely bore everyone. I have this 99H barrel band carbine that I bought from a close friend I met through the campfire. It is rare in that it is in .300 Sav. made only in 1940. The last year of the 99H production.

I had the IPSC Commemorative S&W 745 for awhile (think single-action M645 with a blued slide and Novak sights). I think they only made 2500 or so of them.
I shot the heck out of it.

Not sure how many were made but a Ruger 7x57 RSI. Since bastardized into an RLS stock with an NECG receiver sight and sourdough blade. Reminds me of my latest project, a rare 7x57 CZ 550 FS, grey metal finish, butter knife handle. DF

Manufrance "Lunette" SxS. Rare 10 gauge configuration with reinforced wrist area typically only seen on the SxS rifles they produced at the time.

I have a model 12 28 gauge, It was made the first year that they were offered. It is a field grade, which is surprisingly much more rare. Also, a S&W model 1 3rd issue, It has a squared off backstrap which only a few where made. Damn! I wish I had a model 12 in 28 gauge, numbers matching. I have two pre 64' Model 12's.

Loggah, that 10 carries like a light 12, I've used it for grouse with RST shells and carried it for doe with buckshot but never bloodied it. It is a new pickup for me this year. I hope to use it some more.

One of Bill Grover's sixguns, a 44 Magnum. I spent an afternoon with him at his shop touring and chatting of what his expansion plans were. This in 1994. I ordered it on the visit and received it four months later. Serial number is my date of birth with my name engraved on the backstrap.
