I always thought those Whitney-Kennedy rifles were nice looking, missed on one here a few years back! heres a somewhat rare savage 1899, deluxe wood 28" octagon barrel in 32-40 the more rare winchester caliber in a 1899 with extra length barrel.

Loggah, Back at you. I always thought the 99 was a well made gun without a following like the Winchesters. My uncle had 2 in 300 Savage, he shot lots of deer with them. I always gravitated to the Winchester and never got the bug for 99's. Until I came to the campfire, I never knew of so many people that liked 99's. I was also surprised at how there was a Savage forum before a Winchester forum. I still like the earlier lever guns, although I almost bought a 1895 Winchester in 38-72. Whitney Kennedy SRC in 44-40 nearly mint...

I don't have a picture but my M700 Remington in 6.5 Rem Mag may qualify. According to Shooting Times, only 1500 were made. George

shrapnel; Hopefully this finds you and yours well this last Saturday in February sir. I wanted to send another thanks to you and all the other members who have been sharing photos with us. For me it's been a journey back in time to when we were first married and I was doing some stock repair work for a local gun collector/dealer who has long since passed on at too young an age. In Ron's basement was the first time I'd ever heard of much less got to handle rifles by Ballard, Bullard or Whitney Kennedy. He'd have them hanging all over in his gun room which to say the least had an eclectic mix so one would see an original Henry below an Egyptian Hakim or Norwegian Ljungman. There was the first time I got to see and handle a Lee Speed sporter in wonderful condition - which by the way neither of us knew exactly what it was in those pre-information age days. "What do you think of this fancy .303 Dwayne?" "I don't know Ron, but somebody surely spent a bunch of time on it somewhere......it's gotta be factory Ron, but who's?" Anyway sir, thanks for the very pleasant trip down memory lane this still morning. It's been a good one for me and I do appreciate it. All the best to you and yours this weekend shrapnel. Dwayne

Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

The Model 21 is a Classic especially in 16 ga. Rifles aren't even in the same class as Quality Shotguns

Wow, some beautiful steel and wood in here. I don't have much to compare, but I do have my Grandpa's Union Switch and Signal 1911 from his service days. I'm guessing its 1 of very few with bullseye sights. Oops!
