Yesterday was the last day of small game season in PA. Around here, it was our first day over 50 degrees in 46 days. There is still about eight to ten inches of snow and it's a bugger to walk through with a crust that almost, but not quite, holds you up. I've hunted an hour or two nearly every day for small game since the first of the year, and haven't shot anything, but that wasn't that important. I brought home all the shells I left with, again, but it was a lovely day and my Brit had a good time digging for mice. Sometimes it's more than killing stuff. smile
