With all the improved cals out there anyone done 6X45 ai.
Just wanting to know if it would be worth the effort?

If you were going to stick with the lighter pills, maybe. But I think the heavier ones would be even more hampered with the shoulder forward, meaning less seating room in the case. Just play with powder selection and pump up the speed that way. 70s over 3000 isn't hard, nor anything to sneeze at.

A 6mm TCU would allow you to use standard dies and reamer.
Have you considered a .223AI twisted to shoot the heavies?

I see no real advantage to the 6 TCU. Unless one has a reamer avaialble, dies already found, etc...it would not be worth the trouble. No speed gains, and brass must be fireformed vs a simple neck-up. Not that FF is all that big of a deal, just no advantage, that I can see.
If you wanted a bit more speed, the 6-204 seems like a viable option. A simple FL Bushing die would be all thats needed. (swap the 204 Ruger guts for the larger 6mm, and a 6mm expander)IT has the Ruger's 30* shoulder over the 23* of the 222 Rem Mag, thus a bit of advantage over the 6x47 (not lapua) The interwebs have told me its about 100-150 FPS quicker than a 6X45...
Having said all that...A 6X45 just plain works. Not real need to "improve" on it. IF you want more speed, there are plenty of other main-stay rounds that will do that. FWIW, I get 3070 out of a 6X45 with 70 Gr pills and a case fulla IMR-8208 XBR. Judging by 223 AI increases, your looking at about 2 gr of powder MAX increase. And if its an AR, there are the issues of feeding.
If a bolt gun, I'd see the 6X204 Ruger as a better option...JMO

Have you considered a .223AI twisted to shoot the heavies? This is a good option, if using a bolt gun. The AR wouldn't allow enough room to seat those long bullets out. OP...what platform are you considering?

Not really considering it, just wondering mainly. There is such a large 6X45 fallowing, just got me thinking about the cal. Lookes like the 204 ruger, not worth the hassel to improve, great cal as is.

At this point any wildcat will be in a bolt gun, not much into ARs. Have one but havent touched it in 2 years.
