Another fantastic thread, keep them coming....

Rarest gun I've owned was a mint ribbed M12 skeet shotgun in 28 gauge. Unfortunately, back then I needed a pickup more than the shotgun....

This is my Ruger Gold Label. I guess it would classify as a rare factory gun since they didn't make very many of them. I did have a little camouflage put on the stainless action just to cut down on the light reflection while hunting doves. I don't know how valuable it is and really don't care since I plan on keeping it.

I've got my grandfathers 1939 L.C. Smith 20 gauge field grade double made by hunter arms. It is a beaut. I'll have to post up some pictures

I only have one that (sorta) qualifies. An SKB 880 Crown Grade O/U in 12 ga. These were imported by Ithaca in '79-'80. I contacted Ithaca re: this shotgun to find out how many were brought in. They wrote back and said only 60 were made, half with 30" barrels and half with 32". Mine's a 30", and I bought it new in '80. Still have the box too..

Rare or not that is a lovely firearm.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

I'm guessing its 1 of very few with bullseye sights. Oops!

those sights wouldn't have been original to the gun circa WWII.
after the war that type of sight was added by owners for competition shooting and just cause you could see them better. I have a 1944 remington with the same sight mounted.

yep....always wanted to try one for off hand shooting at gophers but have yet to find any rifle in the scheutzen style that some one didnt want a pretty penny for....they look odd compared to most rifles but everything about them was designed for precise offhand shooting....
