Glad to hear you got home. Everything is better at home. Good to hear you are making plans for the future. Don't give the boy the gun yet wanting and waiting are good for him, anticipation is a wonderful character building experience. Take care and geet well.

Very good to hear GG. Did you pinch the butt of any cute nurses while in the hospital?

Great news on Cole. Whew, no issues. Passed with flying colors. A HUGE sigh of relief. I dont know the details of it, but it was a nonissue. good enough for me!

Half the time, I was so far out of it, they could have had 7 green heads and I wouldn't have known the difference. My wife was at my side constantly, and I am reminded why I married this phenominal woman in the first place, but to answer your question, I did have a couple real lookers.

Great news B-man!

Gopher good to hear your home! A week in the hospital easily seems like a month! My wife never left my side either. Day and night she was right there. We got good ones!

Well that just made my day! Good for Cole! grin

CG, my dad has had CHF for 20 years, his brother even longer. It's a new normal, but nothing you can't handle. Good to hear you're home. PM sent. smile

They put me on a reduced sodium diet. It's really surprising when you start reading labels how much salt there is in everything.

great to read the good news all around. Prayers work.

GG I would strongly suggest a ruger M77MKII in 243, and get a drop in adjustable trigger from spec-tech. it is my go-to rifle and it will kill anything I tell it to. load it with 95 grain NBT's and forget about needing another rifle unless you go moose or brown bear hunting. I will disagree with any other suggestions laugh

Junior's all ready got his eyes on my 99. Maybe this is the year he gets it.

Glad you're home. Nothing more stressful than not being home when that's all you want to do!

Hey!! I'm in for wheeler shopping. Spending other peoples money is something I'm REALLY good at! grin I know you're in love with those honda's... You've seen how hard mine is to start. smile

I can't think of many deer rifles that would beat a M7/.243Win combo. Especially sine you're a reloader.

Really glad you're home.

My hunting buddy, who happens to be my pastor, is a total Ruger loonie. He hunts a 77 and has made some very impressive shots with it. His happens to be one of those dreaded .270's. Weight will be a determining factor. Looking for a rifle in the 6 1/2 lbs. or less range.

mine is nice and light, not sure of the exact weight. I have it scoped with a burris signature 3-9 which is a heavy scope, but Its the only rifle I own that I actually enjoy carrying, especially since it has proven itself time and again at ranges out to 600 yards. plus it will be 1-200 cheaper than the model 7. wink

Rugers are nice but there is nothing light weight about em. Might want to take a look at a Win M70 fwt compact as well. I'm a huge fan of those.

I have Ruger M77's in 7mm Rem Mag and 22-250, Ruger MKII Stainless in .22, Synthetic Stainless 10-22 and most recently a SR1911 in .45 acp.

I love my Rugers but the rifles aren't particularly light.

Know what you mean about not being light. My number 1S is so heavy I can't have it in the car when load limits are on the roads. smile

Jut been playing catch up !!

Great news about Jeff & Cole. Couldn't be happier for either family. Continued thoughts & prayers from further North.

Anybody else a little chilly this morning ?

As the sun rose this morning, we were registering -45*C, including wind chill. This was a new February 27 record.

Fired up the old girl & drove to work on "square" tires.

Whumpity, womp !

Chins up, only 2 days till March.

If you need something, I have a single-shot .223 that, with the TSX bullets, is compact, light, and hardly recoils.

You can use it if you don't have something next season.
