No, I don't have a "dog in the fight". I sell sleeping bags that work even if they are wet. ID does not. LOL
ID, past or present, does not come close to the thousands of Wiggy bags sold each year.
In the dogfighting world, ID is a Bichon Frise.
Amazed at how guys will put themselves on the line for the same weight as two, three cups of coffee, but to each his own.
ID simply can't compete, neither will Kuiu with their latest offering. There is no new technology, just new marketing. "Hey, let's spray the down with DWR and see if that will make it work." We'll see... Hello, would you please tell me what brands you sell or make so that I can avoid purchasing any of your products. I'm sorry, Sir. What about that post did you find offensive to your sensitivities? Was it the reference to a twice-sold, failed company? The reference to the small, white lap-dog breed Bichon Frise? Are you one who squeals when he puts an extra pound on his back? Or, the reference to another gimmick that will trick a new generation of buyers into believing that a down bag will work when it is wet? You guys are comical. Personal attacks are one thing, you kind of get used to that here, but not so much on the backpacking forum, and almost never from purveyors of gear. It's obviously self-defeating. Obvious to most anyway.
But facts are another thing. If wiggy's bags were as good as Taylor thinks they are, and other products were as lacking, everyone would be using wiggy's bags.
Few do. And that's a fact.
