Did that 22 cal. Ammo come with the knife? Rick's knives and 22s are hard to find. That knife is really nice...

10/4 on the wood. I've mentioned I'm a knife user, not maker. I have definite ideas of what I like in a knife I like Rick's skinners or "boners" as some call them, 'cause they feel "alive" in the hand and they are sharp enough to cut the devil out of ya',yet hold an edge. One might inquire if I've become a fan of Rick's knives I have. Maybe one of these days one of Rick's Semi-skinners will follow me home. Quien Sabe? Best, GWB PS: The stag handled knife is a VinceM/RickM collaboration

Atrox, you might check with Vince or Rick to see if another with that blade style is available. Best, GWB

The top knife looks to be. One of four or 5 of my first swedged hunters made from cpm154 from 3/16 stock. Horse hide from Layton. Maybe some of the best I ever produced. Both my brother's carry one. Hope its one of those special knives it would be a honor for me. Mine went to panama to a friend.

That "swedged hunter" you made for me with that thicker CPM stock and the Amboyna Burl I sent you is my favorite hunting knife.

I saw a picture of it, made some inquiries, and it recently came into my posession. I was also told that it has never been used/ sharpened or blooded. I assure you that will not be the circumstance for long. And to the contrary, the honor is all mine. Best, GWB

Roy yours is out of the same lot. 3/16 is twice the grinding. With tapered tang the knife is front heavy. Which makes for a better tool. Lot more dust on the ground when u step away.

Also the big contact is a must with the grind height under a inch and 3/16 stock. Unless you don't want a cutter

I can only imagine Rick. I really like the way it feels with the extra weight. Just feels more solid. The "proto" you made for me also has that thicker stock and feels great too..

Thanks for the extra pictures. May have to hold off on any more knives. I just bought three of Rick's knives from Vince in the last three weeks. I got a three finger skinner, badley, and a one of a kind bird and trout. Rick you make really nice stuff, and I am hooked on your knives. Keep making them...
