And then those who use your funds to buy themselves votes, will call you selfish for complaining, as will the recipients of your 'contribution'.

Ha. The recipients of our contributions think it comes from .gov.

The laughable part is that most working folks are having to tighten down their budgets, with the exception of the recipients of our hard work, and .gov.
They just spend like it's free money.. because, well.. IT IS!

I am with you. My chairitable contributions went through the roof this year. Added 5% on cap gains plus 3.8% penalty to pay for obama care. And my health insurance went us over $200 per month to pay for Obama care . I blame every bit of this socialism on BHO.

I paid my fair share plus the fair share of a lot of free loaders out there. I also paid for the refunds of the people that pay a little in tax but get a lot more back in credits.

And unfortunately, when taxes go up do to freeloading, taxpayers donate less to their chosen charities. There is another loss of freedom, in that philanthropy is not self-chosen.
Charities are hurting while govt gets bigger. But govt is less-effecient at distributing the donations.

Yeah taxes suck. If you're making money that can be variable, it's best to constantly be hitting the online tax estimators to keep from having surprises when it's tax time. Taxes should never be a surprise with what we have available to us today.

Taxes should never be a surprise with what we have available to us today. Not a matter of being surprised or not, it's the magnitude that's being taken & all the expemptions/deductions that have slowly but surely been taken away. Paying a "fair share", whatever that is, is one thing. Continually raising the level of payouts for the ones who pay nothing, do nothing & contribute nothing yet continue to sucj air, is the rub........I especially hate the rules that allow people to get refunds far above the amount paid in. Complete & utter BS. MM

That's what you get when 51% of Americans pay no federal income tax. Those that work and pay, will only have to pay higher and higher rates in the future, unless we enact consumption taxes to get that 51% paying their fair share of what they use.

Taxes should never be a surprise with what we have available to us today. If i choose to withhold enough to meet my liability Im just paying in advance , doesn't make it any better just paying my bill before its due , It was not a surprise , my wife has a masters degree in Accounting. "The people without stuff want the people with stuff to give them some of their stuff. We are running out of people with stuff". Think a high school student wrote that. Nailed it. The incentive to better ourselves is being removed , a piece at a time.

There is no "fair" share - that is a slick euphemism used by Obama and his ilk to say "Sucka - I will take from you every bit that I can - and then some - and use it to buy the votes of the parasites who feed on my government teat!".
