Would any one shooting a k-hornet care to share their pet loads ? My rifle is a Martini and so far seems to like the 45 gr. Hornady and IMR 4227. Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Cheers...

Bud,
I sure hope you get some responses. I just purchased a Low Wall in K-Hornet, and am wondering about a load. I have heard some mention that Lil Gun works well.

I'm still driving '296 and baby V-Max in mine, but were I starting over,I'd give Lil' Gun the nudge.
Great cartridge......................

Mild primer (RP 6 1/2, Fed 100 or CCI 500 small pistol), your choice of 40 or 45-gr bullet held in with a Lee Factory Crimp (trust me on the crimp) and just fill the case to halfway up the neck with LilGun. Whatever that weighs is your Hornet load, in regular or K.

I'm using rem cases, fed 100 small pistol primers, Hornady 35 gr vmax and 13 gr of H110. It gets about 3200 out of my Ruger 77/22 target.
I had to resort to the 35's to be able to use the magazine. I turned it from a biig scope gun to a 1-4 Leuie walking varminter.
The little 35's are amazing out to 150 yards or so. Inside 50 they turn groundhogs to mush.
It's a great round. It's probably why I haven't felt the urge to get a 17 hmr.

Try Rem 6 1/2 primers and 14grains of Lil Gun thru a drop tube. Use 40 grain bullets, I use Vmaxes as in my tests they are more explosive than my previous ones, the Blitzkings. My Low Wall loves this load. But now I have had it rechambered to 221 Fireball and use 16 Grains of Lil Gun for 3507. The best the K will do is about 3150. FWIW Greg H
