It's a little wide spot in the road in Weld County, NE of Denver, population 300. Seems this little burg opted to allow retail marijuana sales, while every other city in Weld County said no. Well- this little town is now raking in big bucks from the sale of weed, and wondering what to do with all that tax revenue.
Anyone want to guess how long it will take for the Fed and all other states to legalize grass sales, and get in on the great tax grab?
I'd rather be a free man in my grave, than living as a puppet or a slave....

America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

Gotta make up the lost revenue from tobacco sales somehow.
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.

When they run out of this new money they'll just have another new tax. Maybe letting some pedophile do your kid over if he pays the tax first.

They already are. Their Diversion Control Division handles all of Physician, Pharmacy, Lab, and Hospital licensing for controlled substances. They also handle all of the investigations for drugs that are "diverted" from legal channels to the illegal ones. Handling marijuana outlets would just be an expansion, not the creation of a new office or the eradication of the enforcement / interdiction functions. Ed

Garden City has always been "sin city" in Weld County. Booze, hookers ......whatever. It's in their DNA.

Actually garden city is a burb of Greeley. Greeley was the very last "dry city" Garden city was the place to go to get booze but so was Rosedale, Evans, la Salle, Lucerne or any of the other little burbs around Greeley. No surprise they sell weed considering they lost numerous agricultural businesses thru the years. Two potato chip companies, two canning operations, couple of car dealerships.
