I'm not saying they're the best but I've used the mid to higher priced BassPro rods a long time and never had a problem with them for any kind of fresh water or inshore saltwater fishing. I've also used some of the higher priced stuff and couldn't tell much if any difference in any of them as long as the rod, reel, line and lure were matched up right. YMMV.

I've used Falcon and All Star and both are good rods. I tend to stay away from St. Croix and some of the real high dollar stuff

I'm an old time bass fisherman & began using glass rods. I started using plastic worms before there were any commercial worm fishing products. I & others I fished with caught lots & lots of bass on glass rods. When graphite became available I switched for worm fishing. For casting lures & live bait I still use glass or a composite. I just don't see a need for bass rods that cost many hundreds of dollars. I would rather spend the money on fishing another part of the country including Canada. For those that want & have the money to spend on very expensive rods go for it, but don't expect success to increase.
