I bought this a few months ago on a whim, and I really have zero use for it. Hopefully somebody else will.
It's like new. I can't find a mark on the stock, not even any finish lifting. The blueing is perfect as well. In fact, other than the rear sight and the front sightcover being removed, it looks like it just left the factory.
The original owner told me he fired 20 rounds, and I fired 24. 50 Gr V-max bullets over Varget were incredibly accurate.
Will ship in the original box, with paperwork.
$850 shipped USPS from me to your FFL.

Nice shooting and nice rifle. I just sold a righty like that one. Bump for a fellow left handed shooter...

Bump for a fellow lefty. If I didn't already have it's twin, I'd be all over this like a fat kid on donuts.

Thanks for the compliments. This is a really nice rifle, too nice to just sit in the back of the safe.

Another bump for a good guy and a good rifle.

Boy oh boy fella's you aren't looking. Left hand short action BDL's are scarce let a lone in this caliber. Don't let it get away.

Yeah, I'm looking at it but i want it for the action not the whole rifle, thus its priced out of my range.

I hear you TBS. This one is too nice to tear apart for pieces right now.

I'll let it go a couple more days here then I'll move it to GB, I'm sure there's a collector out there somewhere who need this but I wanted to give you all first dibs.

The code on the side of the barrel is "M" "96"

There should be a two letter code which will indicate the month and year of production, as per the diagram found here:

http://www.remingtonsociety.com/rsa/questions/barrelcodes

But unless I'm badly mistaken Remington only produced the .22-250 BDL's in the first run of LH SA they made back in the very late 80's and early 90's. Then they quit for several years before making another batch in the early 21st Century but those did not include the .22-250 except in the Varmint Special models. So this one would have been made in that first run.

Does the bolt hit the follower? That (AFAIK) indicates the first run. By the second run they had changed the followers so that the bolt passed over it without hitting it.

Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery.

I thought the date and letter code was a little odd too, not what I'm used to seeing, as your link shows.

The bolt contacts the follower when closing.

Great rifle! I've got one as well. Mine has a 24" barrel. You don't see these anymore.
