Some interesting news:

T/C guru Mike Bellm is reporting that Thompson Center will offer factory rimfire Encore barrels this summer. He says they're making 15" and 24" barrels, stainless and blued, in .22LR, .22Mag, and .17HMR. The bore will be off center, so no rimfire converter is required.

Prices ~$250-290.

I got his e-mail update about these. I wonder how they'll compare to the ones Mike at OTT has been making. It's a good idea & I hope T/C does a good job on this new project because a 22 WMRF would be a fun plinker.

From what I've heard about OTT, T/C would have some big shoes to fill to be equal or better. However, to be fair, those OTT barrels cost ~30-50% more too.

Either way, they'll make fun plinkers!
