Just Savage 99 builds for me. I'm all gunned up, so none are a high priority at the moment. 99R 300 with dual safeties rebarreled to standard 22-250 99F or DL 308 (both cut checkered post mils) to 250 AI 99E 308 to 16" .375 Win. Restocked, cerakoated.
Lost the gunsmith to retirement so need a new 99 smith.

Got all the parts for a 6 Creed. Waiting on a McMillan for another project, and trying to figure out what to sell to get another Nightforce.

Kimber 300 savage, not original, but I'm excited about it.

Curious about people building the 6-250's. Why not just do a 6 Creedmoor?

6.5x55 by Mike McCabe, I donated an early 1920's Mauser action, 23.5" Lothar Walther barrel, he's duplicating the Schnabel-tipped stock from a Watt's Walnut blank, Dakota Arms M-98 Model 70-style shroud/safety, Leupold 6x42 FX-3 scope, McFarland steel buttplate, Dakota Arms #2 "Ken Howell" swivel studs, Dressel small grip cap, Talley rings/bases. Buttplate, grip cap, bolt shroud, and Talley rings returned to me after fitting to be engraved then color case hardened by Doug Turnbull.
Started this in 2012, I'm just going to be glad to see it finished this year.

Couple of Mauser sporters, VZ-24 in 8x57 and DWM Gew.98 in ???(thinking 9.3x62). Both in walnut with DT triggers and PTG M70 safeties.

I don't always shoot Mausers, but when I do...I prefer VZ-24s.

A custom Savage 1899 Takedown with (at least) three barrels, ongoing for a couple years now. Doing all the work myself, hope to finally finish it this year.
Concurrently, a .30/40 Krag-Jrgensen sporter, a copy of Townsend Whelen's Krag sporter. It will by god be done this year! New 24" barrel, classic stock with Whelen cheek piece, Lyman 48 rear sight. Old, old school elegant.

Curious about people building the 6-250's. Why not just do a 6 Creedmoor? Straight neck up of readily available brass with no fire forming. Also, no needing to worry whether the current limited factory brass is going to be available in five years.
