The flat ones are flounders... but much better tasting since it is the pacific ones and cold waters. The funky one we call guitar fish, family of sharks and rays, and has features of both. Though no teeth and no barb or venom, so he got the short end of both sticks! can you imagine venomous shark like teeth!!
Re: .243, I found a box at Walmart, though I still will have to scope it and try it at the gathering. Is there is cheap .243 Win ammo?

Are the Guitar Fish good eating? There is "cheaper" .243 ammo. I haven't seen "cheap" ammo in a couple of years.  Ed

Ugh, as it's often the case, good news is accompanied with bad news.
The good news is that I finally got a job. The bad news is that my schedule is all reconfigured and my family won't be able to attend this year.
Really wanted to make this event after I couldn't make the hog hunt.

Congratulations on the new job.

I would Sponxx but she has school Friday and I'm on shift at the FD Sunday. That's why I was going to come Friday morning and leave about lunch time on Saturday. Really disappointed, I've met several of the guys who are going and was looking forward to meeting the folks I haven't met before. Bill

CCCC & his bride are bringing the paper plates, cups, and eating utensils. We have several rolls of paper towels, but it never hurts to have extras. Ed

I'm replacing a mile of fence - blown over by weeds & wind (hadn't planned on that THIS year) then have another mile + of interior fence to replace (same issue)

just finished rigging down and got my equipment loaded on the truck, fixing to head home, sure wish i could of made it.
