I have been wanting a do-all clays gun and I really like the way the 525 feels.
Is anyone shooting trap with this gun?

I have one that I shoot sporting clays with. I would highly recommend it. Great fit for me and swings ultra smooth.

"It might be gone when you get here, but basically it's a green, '64 Chevy, driving West down Maine Street. No, I can't make out the licence plate, but ...errrr... it'll be pulling a small church. So any Green Chevy pulling a church down Main Street, I guess that'll be the one."

Really nothing bad to say about the 525...It's a staple on the clays ranges. Don't know anyone shooting trap with it but if you add an adjustable comb, I don't see why it couldn't do double duty in a pinch.

As per '07 there will be a lead ban in some parts of my country, I didn't want to risk my beloved B 25's. So I bought a B 525 12 Mag with Invector chokes. I'm very pleased and shot it practically exclusively last season.

The Browning Clay guns are IMO the best value for the dollar. I know of one B Ultra Sporter with a round count in the 6 figures, was rebuilt once and hardly used since -- all that for 2k.
Hard to beat as even if you have to have it rebuilt by a gunsmith every 6 years - thats still cheaper than going to a more expensive shotgun for clay work.

I don't get to choteau often. I used to live in Conrad and enjoyed shooting up there-tuesday's @ 7. I shoot occasionally here in town.
I would like to get more serious about shooting clays. I am currently using my A-5. Scheels has a 525 w/30" right now.

I almost went for a 525 last week. They are excellent guns. But I couldnt resist the temptations of the Citori Grade IV in 20 GA with its game scene scrolls and nice wood. I will shoot clays with it too ...but the 525 Sporting would be better....maybe. I will give you the report when I pick it up next week. I layed it away only a few weeks ago. I actually layed away the 525 at first then changed my mind
