Someone make it easy on me and tell me what high end spotting scope to buy to last a life time. What I have in mind is being able to glass bedded muleys under rim rock ledges at loooong distance.

I only want to do this once and spend the dough for the right thing and grin and bear it.

I've got a 65mm Swarovski, 65mm Zeiss, and 85mm Zeiss.

For something I'd pack aorund a bunch, the Swarovski wins going away. For something to be used not too far from the truck, the Zeiss 85 wins.

The Zeiss 65 is pretty nice, but the extra power of the Swarovski sure is nice (when the air is cool enough to use it).

If you want the best then it is either Leica or Swarovski. The choice is between a 62/65 tube (easier to transport) or a 77/80 tube (more power but bigger).
Please feel free to give me a call to discuss the options.
As far as a quality difference between the two..... They are both higher quality, in the APO or HD versions, than most peoples eyes so you shouldn't be able to see any real difference. It is more a matter of which you are more comfortable with.
