My only one is my 700 Ti. Don't think I'll be sending it back..

Remember, imaginary rifles go in imaginary shipping containers. It shouldn't be too bad really. But I know everything is a "challenge" for you.

Why can't you just pull the trigger of have your smith knock the pins out and send it in that way? Why do they need the whole rifle just to fix the trigger issue.
I sure am glad that I'm safe as well or else I would be ordering up a Shilen or Timney trigger myself to fix the issue.

Here is the link from Remingtons website with the pertinent information:

Remington 700/Model 7 recall

If you click on the link "http://xmprecall.remington.com" in the above link, you can enter the serial number of your gun to see if it's one of the ones affected, or afflicted, or whatever.

All that the recall is for is potential sealant leaking into the trigger housing casing issues. If one can not remove, disassemble, inspect, clean, reassemble, and reinstall their own, they should look for a new hobby. Trigger maintenance is just as important as bore cleaning, bolt cleaning an maintenance. Just yank the trigger and look your self!

Buy a Timney or a Jewell and call it good. Better triggers are out there and this should be nothing more that a wake up call for Remington owners to upgrade there rifles.

Why would he spend over 4k if hes happy with the factory trigger and can get them fixed free?

You're on the wrong forum. The Airgun forum is farther down on the main page.
To everyone else...
A hundred dollars is a small price to pay for a safer and better trigger.

Why anyone would take the time and effort to send one back is foolish to me. It's a simple procedure, learn to do it.

$100x40 isnt a small price. If Ford recalls F150 calipers do you advocate buying $1000 Wilwood instead of taking it back to Ford for free? If so youre a [bleep] idiot, but I already figured that much.

Resale, huh? I really don't see how sending a rifle to Remington to look for glue is going help resale.

Also, you do realize any 'custom' parts are swapped and charged to the customer, right? Although, I don't know how 'custom' your rifles are. A stock swap is not a 'custom' rifle...

The triggers are marked before return. Now if you wanna punch yours and lie to whoever you may sell it to and tell them it was returned for factory recall thats up to you. Theyre easy to piss with..

...but im not about to lie to anyone. Oh, and both have been sent to PacNor for barreling and other work. Little more than stock swaps.

If you send those PacNor barreled rifles in, they will not be worked on. You have tossed the Remington warranty in the trash. Just go buy new triggers if you're really concerned about it.

I don't have any X-Mark Pro triggers. If I did, I would look, clean and reinstall myself. No lie required. It's a simple procedure, and I can get the exact same effect at home, and not be out a rifle.

Go ahead and send your rifles, see what they say.

Just do the work! Or swap the triggers...much less "hair off your ass" as you like to put it.
