EH3 and Predator, what next? Really a slam dunk decision for one who prefers vanilla. The EH3 came in at 25.5 oz which is light considering the 1" Decelerator.

Gonna be a really cool rig. Anxious to see how it turns out.

That's shaping up...short action?
On a short action, I'd be looking at a 6mm or 6.5mm in the 308/Creedmoor/x47L/XC case that tickled your fancy.
Is that a group buy stock? I've got about the same thing ordered, but in GAP.

Guessing you might be a 308/ 30-06 guy with your 'vanilla' comment though...

Pre group buy.
308 with 11 twist #3 Hart. 1.5" shank. 22" length. Barrel channel is cut to a #3 Brux (larger than Hart) so I can go up a little or down at a later date.

I was really hoping that was a group buy and they were making their way out...bit early for that though.
Vanilla...either a tree-oh-ate or a too-foty-tree.

Roads, you could save your self the anguish and make me a package deal on the components.... Or you could do the 6.5x47 Lapua or 6.5 Creed....but I guess the 308 will hunt....I like the stock colors....

260 or a 6.5x47L if it was me. Mine is a Tac30 A/W in an EH 3 with a Bartlein #3 fluted in a 260.

Since I'm already in the process of a 6.5x47, I would go for a 6xc, 6mm creedmoor or 22-250AI.

So what is the weight of your action and stock combined? Obviously with the EH-3 you're interested in a fairly lightweight carrying rifle - whitetail deer and hogs only?

Everything but the barrel (stock, action, bolt, recoil lug, Shilen trigger, safety, PTG BDL aluminum bottom metal, Wyatt box, spring, steel follower, and action screws) weighs 3 lbs 8 oz. The #3 Hart at 22" inches and 1.5" shank and .308 bore should come in a tad less than 3 lbs. The bare rifle will be right at 6.5 lbs when complete.
Intended use is a handy 600 yard hunting rig (farther for play).
I will handicap it's weight with the new 25oz Bushy in Talley LW's.

Sounds like a great set up - hard to beat a 308win. Post pics of the final product when you get it - like the EH3.

Great looking stock! That's exactly the stock I have on order for my 280AI in a Win mod 70 action, but just a slightly different set up on the bottom metel. How does it feel in your hands specifically the grip?
Thx Elmer

Some shooting knowledge: Don't stand in front of the muzzle. Some hunting knowledge: Too much noise ruins the hunt.
