Hi there:
Unfortunately my moose hunting plans for the year seem to be falling through for the year.
I am a relatively new hunter and looking for a 1x1 guided management hunt of some sort. Not a trophy but a meat hunt. I'm in Canada and would be flying (some) of the meat back.
Any suggestions on something like a antelope, cow elk or other hunt that might be appropriate; allow me to get out there with someone experienced as a guide and learn from them and have a good experience with friendly folks?
White tails are in my back yard so they are out. I don't eat bear or pork so they are out as well.
I'd prefer something free range but I don't have a problem with a private land/ranch hunt as long as it is a reasonable amount of land for it not to be a canned hunt.
Looking for the hunt to be ~$2000 not including air fare.

Hnd Elk Hunting Preserve in Kimbolton, Ohio is a great place. A friend and I hunted there - he took a 1,000 pound COW that made my bull look like a fawn. Phone number is Phone: (740) 498-6130.
Good Luck!

Wind in my hair, Sun on my face, I gazed at the wide open spaces, And I was at home.

Go to Wyoming and get yourself 4 Doe antelope tags. You don't need a guide and could fill them in a day.

Good Luck! 1000? They charge by the pound? I've seen a couple very heavy cow elk. The best was 365 carcus weight with no hide
