Why doesn't the United States build a little more empire by simply annexing Mexico?

It would mitigate illegal immigration.
We could shut down much of the drug cartel corruption.
It would make for a far smaller, defensible border.
We would have something to do for the next few decades.

Might as well. Mexico also has a tremendous amount of natural resources that are untapped.

I doubt Mejico wants us to annex them anymore than Ukraine wants Putin to "annex" them.

With Mejico, it would bring too much order to things down there to make the politicos happy.

Add 118,000,000 to the welfare rolls and Democrat party the very next day, like Puerto Rico? No thanks.

I was just speaking with a friend about this yesterday evening. White kids are a minority in the schools right across the stateline on the eastern Oregon side. We agreed that we will likely be a minority in our lifetime, but there will be no minority status for whites.

She is moving from Texas to Montana because she is "sick of" having to listen to the "mexicans" talk in Spanish to each other at work when they can speak english. Fortunately, I am no where close to being a minority or having to deal with such a thing in my field of work.

BTW, maybe California and Mexico should "get together".

Anybody who cares to can fly to San Diego, drive down to Imperial Beach and see Mexico from the car window.

That would be the first clue.

And Canada too, while we're at it.

Canada has a lot of natural resources, good hunting and fishing, and no nukes.
