It has been a long time since I posted anything at 24campfire. I guess it's about time I did. I took my youngest daughter fishing on the Mighty Missouri and the river was kind to us. It was a day that was better than as good as it gets, and better than great! Both my daughter and the fish are getting bigger. Here's my daughter with one of the biggest trout she's ever caught. With another... She didn't quite outfish her old man, but she did do well. I was fortunate to land a few as well. This one tied the score of 2 each. Finished strong and broke the tie breaker with this very nice rainbow. The rainbows are spawing right now and their colors are just absolutely something else.
Is it Friday yet?

That fish is almost as pretty as your daughter.

Beautiful girl, beautiful country, beautiful fish, good Dad.

Looks like a lot of fun. The smiles on your daughter's face says she had a great time fishing with Dad.

I know PERZACKLY where those pics were taken. I'll be there myself in just about a month. I'd be pleased to meet you if you're back.

Oh it's a pretty good bet I'll be getting down there as often as possible. Pretty hard to concentrate on work right now knowing there are fish like this only 1.5 hours from my doorstep.

Powder, they are spawning in the shallows so most of it was sight fishing. The hot lure was this marabou jig made by Kits Tackle out of Helena MT. They do have a website.
