COYOTE !!!
more than just a part of the landscape. The Crow view him as a creator of the landscape who brought the gift of storytelling and music. Many times at days end of dry stands I hear his voice, singing and laughing try as I might to learn not just what I did wrong but also what the coyote did right.. Nowadays I realize that I am chasing what Natives see as a shape-shifter and that even with timeless persecution by bullets, poison, traps and bad press song dog has not only survived but flourished singing and laughing beyond the confines of old territories and into the light of the city limits

And the Yakima Indians called him 'Spiliyay'-The cunning trickster who knows all.

If you don't have the utmost respect for him, you shouldn't be hunting him.JMHO
