Have always had a love for the American made 22 target rifle, probably because i shot Junior NRA competitions back in the late 60's early 70's. Lately I have put together a collection of rifles I only dreamed about at the time , Dad had just retired after 26 years in the Navy and was going to college,we had no money so I competed with a Mossberg 144 which is still in the family, did alright with it. Here are a few I have found recently, have found all a joy to shoot and very accurate, shooting most at 100 yards. 1967 Remington 40XB with Redfield Olympic sights, 1942 Winchester Model 75 wearing a 6X Lyman Junior Targetspot 1946 Commercial Remington 513T with a Unertl 14X Winchester 1951 52B, have since put a Lyman 20x Super Targetspot on it Have found all these rifles to be beautifully made and very accurate.

There's some nice hardware sitting right there. Very nice, indeed.

I have several 40-X's and 40-XB's, both standard and heavy barrel versions and they are a real joy to shoot. When I've had my buds work the action and shoot one, the universal response is "wow, that's nice".
It's a real kick to shoot these .22's at 200 yds.
I missed out on the Winchester 52's CMP sold a while back. Wish I had one.

I got an old Win 75 that looks pretty ugly with the worn bluing and beat up stock. Not worth taking pictures of. It's wearing a Bushnell scope instead of iron sights.
Still shoots bugholes all day.
I could wish a lot of things on my worst enemy but neuropathy ain't one of them.

Benchman, that Mossberg is a real good shooter, I remember my 144 being a very good shooter also. Manydogs, those Model 75's really shoot well no matter the condition. Hunterjrg, there are a lot out there, just takes some looking to find. I also have the Model 75's little brother,Model 75 Sporting, very accurate but no way to mount a scope unless you drill and tab and I don't want to do that.

Some great hardware in your collection. I've got a Win 52B and a 52C and a 69A , a Rem. 40X, and a couple others and they are a hoot to shoot, though I don't shoot competitively. My buddies all just smile every time they pull the trigger on one and put another shot into a little group. My buddy has a 75 Sporting with dovetailed action that I we have been negotiating over for quite a while. I'm thinking it needs to be in my safe one of these days...

I collect Remington bolt action vintage rifles--but only those with factory peep sights. Got 'em all except 2--don't have a 514P or a 40X. I do have a 33P NRA Junior, 34P NRA, 341P, 510P, 511P, 512P, 513T, 513SP, and a 521T.

513T Redfield Olympic w/tube and other odd bells and whistles. Fairly effective at 50 yards for 10 shots of Wolf MT

I really like my Winchester M52 from 1937, complete with the original Winchester 82A "ladder" style rear sight.

Nice rifles guys, love the 513's and the 52's, just added another one yesterday, a pre war BSA Martini with Parker Hale sights, should be an excellent shooter.

My Rem Model 37 (from 1948 IIRC) with its vintage JC Fecker scope. I competed with it in the 60s. My Uncle made the stock in the early 50s.
