1 pound of venison or other meat. Tough cuts are fine. 2 pounds of raisins 4 ounces of country ham or cooked bacon 1/2 tea spoon of salt
Dry cook the meat untill it's well done. I just stuck it in the oven uncovered for a couple hours. It does cook faster if you cut it up. Grind the meat using the course blade on the meat grinder. Add everything together and run through the grinder using the fine blade. Form into golf ball sized balls and wrap individually and store in the freezer.
I made 1/2 a batch with raisins and 1/2 a batch with cherry flavored Craisins and liked the Craisin version better. You can also add things like nuts or a few teaspoons of honey. This great to carry when I go hunting and fishing.
