I stripped the head of the front action screw. Where is the best place to find a replacement? I did not see any listing in Brownell's. Any luck dealing directly with Kimber? How long do you suppose it would take to get a part from them?

This was on a new Montana 708.

I believe you can use a rear action screw from a Remington 700, it'll be just a tad longer than the Kimber.

You could weld it shut grind and polish then cut a new slot snd reblue the head if it is needed right away.

I used some Devcon on the allen wrench to get the screw out then replaced it with the action screw from my 257R. If I can't salvage this one, I'll try to order a replacement. Good to know that a 700 screw rear screw can work.

thanks
