Great Waputi's post from "Happy Birthday Safariman" thread [OP:asphaltangel]
Nice post, Mark. Kinda like the one I quoted in the dragster thread. Six sisters, four daughters, a wife, two sister in laws, a mom, a mother in law, and too many aunts, cousins, nieces, and female co workers over the years to count, and I've never heard any of them utter the words "fuel" or "rig", ever.[/quote]
Great Waputi,
I searched the "dragster" thread for any of Mark's posts that you "quoted" and only found one post by you. You told Mark to try and get Johnson's Motor Sports to buy "the Mrs. some new treads". So I have no idea what you are referring to. I will say your fixation regarding the tires on my vehicle is a bit bizzare. Below is my response to this from the "Happy Birthday Safariman" thread:
No worries Travis. He didn't get a birthday cake. Rancho Loco and Great Waputi, I still have the tires that I picked out myself in Hermiston Oregon where we didn't have to pay sales tax. I asked Safariman to buy them instead of the new ones because we needed other things worse at that time. The tires I have are really nice and look great on my 94 Jeep [Laredo]. I might put 10,000 a year on my rig. We use the motorcycles during the nice weather. Why don't we expand our horizons and move on to more interesting topics like the rest of our members are doing? T
Your accusation that Mark is posting under my name is absolutely false. You have nothing to back it up except for the fact you have never heard a female use the words, "fuel" or "rig". Maybe it will help if you understand some of my past history.
I worked as a heavy equipment operator for 7 years and I worked with mechanics, truck drivers, and other operators during harvest. Most weeks we spent 94 hours in the fields or driving to/from the fields together. ..July-Oct.
My work experience beginning at age 12 includes the following: picking strawberries, working in canneries on the belt, long term care in kitchen, retail work, heavy equipment operator[seasonal work that overlapped retail work], United States Postal Service, Long term care facilities as social service director, Dept of Human Services for mental health care, shelter manager at local homeless shelter, and now back working in the mental health field. During my years in retail and when much younger, I worked in an alcohol and drug rehab residential facility for mothers who were trying to get clean, Juvenile Detention Center, and Pregnancy Crisis Support.
I graduated with honors from W.S.U. and paid for my own education. During those years I ran over 20 marathons and 1 ultra marathon. My training partners were all men. I grew up with an older brother and tried to "keep up" with him in every way, including playing basketball for 7 years. Most of my long term friends have been male. For over 30 years I have been close friends with a long haul truck driver [has his own "rig"].
I had the money saved up for my first car by the time I turned 16. My insurance, "fuel", and repairs were covered by money I earned. I lived alone for 10 years by choice and it was important for me to know a little about my vehicles and to be independent as much as possible. I have dealt with my own mechanics and provided for myself long before getting married.
I hope you can now understand why those two words are in my vocabulary. It's easy to stereotype groups of people whether it be women, men, blacks, cops, pastors, or lawyers. Stereotypes help us know how to relate to certain groups of people, but they are not always accurate. In this case it was way off.

Well, this BS is why a great professional hunter and great previous poster on the fire who offered some of the most insightful info on hunting and shooting is a previous poster on the fire.

Matter of fact, I'm almost dead right now.
Can I borrow $20.00?
