I'm the original owner, very low total round count, 26" barrel, claro walnut stock with cut checkering, Leupold Vari-XII 4-12 w/AO mounted in Leupold base and rings. The rifle is flawless. No dings, no blemishes, no hickies, no handling marks, no nuthin'. This is the ClassicMark II, with even nicer wood and a rollover cheekpiece on the left (still a classic lined stock). $1495 plus shipping and insurance to the lower 48. Thank you for looking.

Antlers, beautiful gun and super caliber. I am curious about the green "material" around the scope rings? I haven't seen that before, what is it?

Thanks
Mark

Mark, the green stuff is very thin felt...I lined the inside of the rings with it...it keeps the rings from marring the scope tube and it also bites a little - preventing slippage. I'm particular about stuff like that on really good stuff...laffin'.
Even if the only 'real purpose' it served was to make me feel better about it...then it did that too...laffin' some more.

Thanks, I hadn't seen that used before. I am always curious and like learning new things. Do you lap your rings?

Thanks and good luck with your sale
Mark
