On our recent black bear hunt in BC I used the InReach to text a friend with whom we were staying in a nearby town to tell him that we had a bear down, might be late etc. He used the GPS info sent with the text to bushwhack across country straight to us. When he emerged into the clearing 30 feet from us, his first words were, "Wow! That thing brought me exactly to where you guys are."

Good to know! I have an InReach, but haven't been on a trip where it's been needed since getting it. That should change this fall.

I used mine last September to text the bush plane pilot to pick us up a day early. We had a bull moose hanging and it was too warm. One more day and the meat would have spoiled, got out just in time. I like my InReach!
