Just wondering who has received a stock recently, and what your order date was. Still waiting on one ordered in November.

Early october and it arrived about a month a ago and mine was for a Ruger which I think sometimes runs a little slower than some of the more higher volume stuff.

October 13th and almost 7 months to the day got my notification. Should be here tomorrow.

Last year ordered in December and got it in July, so 7 months seems to be the going rate.

Definitely one of Mcmillans pluses. They'll do about anything you can ask for.

Is that a Hunter? What rifle is in it?

Sako 75 in 30-06 and coated in Birdsong Black-T. Yes, definitely a plus. Finding a LH Sako in a LGS is like finding a gold hens tooth.

Nice rifle.

I just picked up a older L61R Finnbear in 30-06. Heavy fugger. The plan is to put it in a McMillan and rebore to 9.3x62. You ever run the Sako Classic? Kinda torn 'tween the Classic and the Hunter.

I may have to keep it 06 for a while though!

M70 New Hunter ordered in Jan. Not expecting to use it this hunting season. Edge fill w/speckletone finish. First Micky for me - I'm hoping good things come to those who wait.

No, only done two so far, both Sako 75's so have stayed true to that pattern. The other, formerly a Gray Wolf, which was heavy as hell. The McMillan shaved a pound off just in standard fill.

Hah! Doubting they had a huge run of LH Game Scouts for Pierce LA's!

I'd like to may with a Gamescout. They look like they'd be pretty sweet.

I think McMillan has been claiming 4-5 months for the last 5 years, haha. Just count on 8 and you won't get impatient.

They do the runs according to stock design, not inletting. Mcmillan builds a lot more Game Scouts than say, Ruger R series stocks. Thus you are more likely to get a popular stock design quicker than one which is less so.

I ordered in January and was beginning to wonder, guess I got a while to wait.

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.

The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

Sent an email to Manners asking if they can inlet for a sako aii action. Didn't even get a reply back. Unless these stock makers inlet for something other than a rem 700 they won't be much competition. My Mcmillan A 3 sporter inletted for a sako AII action should be here by January .

Everyone makes a Remington stock, it is the other brands where McMillan has a niche. I priced out a Manners and it was actually more money than a comparable McMillan.

Just talked to Kay at McMillan, and she said my McMillan Hunter I ordered on 12/12/2013 will ship in about 2 weeks. Looks like they are running at almost an 8 month turn around right now.

Ordered one on 12/8 through 24 and it's ready to be shipped. Talked to McMillan about another stock and asked about this one and they told me they received the order on 1/6. So that was almost one month before they got the order.

After 8 months I got mine a month or 2 ago, worse quality I have ever see of any maker. Sling stud was WAY off center, the seam was awful, needed to be reinletted by my smith to get the barrel to lay centered in the barrel channel. Just the worse. Im done with McMillan. sucks to wait 8 months and then need to be charged more to have the stock made right, still have a cock eyed front sling stud I need to look at everytime as a reminder of the great McMillan quality.....

3rd person I have heard that from here lately. Hoping mine is done right but I am starting to have my concerns. 7 1/2 months into the wait and I am getting nervous I went with the wrong company.

I ordered my latest McMillan on 12/18 and just got notice that it is ready to ship. Should have it in hand sometime late next week, though the post office is easily capable of taking twice as long.

7 1/2 months seems a bargain for something that will last me literally forever...............

Just got the word that it's being shipped - this will be right at 7 months.

Will post pics on Speckletone Finish thread after I fondle it thoroughly.

The McMillan is going on the Alaskan. I'm gunning for a Legend for the Newton. Although, the B&C Medalist isn't chopped liver that's on there now.

Damn...I wish I knew what their reasoning was to the sequence they work to.

I ordered a LH Winchester M70 Edge Supergrade pattern stock on December 17th. Got the email last week, August 20th, that it was ready. 8 months waiting on it to be built...and these next few days waiting on it to show up will be the longest.

When you get that supergrade pattern, it would be great if you could take photos of it on the stock template and add it to that thread of McMillan stock patterns that I started several years ago. The Supergrade is one that I did not have access to when I took my photos.

Isn't the second one down in your first post(s) a Supergrade?

My last one took 8 months, and the funny thing is it had a "rush" sticker on it when I got it.

[bleep], they've got 100 or so that are ready-to-order on their website tonight. (Not counting specials) Just don't be as picky.

I have already paid for mine so that's not really a option this time.

I'm waiting for my stock as well and this is what I received from McMillan...

Important EXPORT Notice:
Due to recent determinations at the US Department of State, McMillan Fiberglass Stocks now requires an export license to ship fiberglass stocks internationally. An export license may cost up to $250.00 US Funds. McMillan understands that there may be varying country requirements and wishes to make the export process as painless as possible, but you can use your own exporter.

To export out of the US you will need to purchase an export license and certain countries also require an import license, which we will need a copy of it. If an import license is not required, then a document must be signed stating so. The export license is usually valid for 1 year and it can be for one stock or for multiple stocks (open license) being shipped to the same address.

McMillan has an onsite export manager with experience in exporting internationally. Additionally, we have agreements with several international partners in various countries that can facilitate the export process.

They expect to have a Canadian importer in place in the next couple of weeks so hopefully stocks will start shipping North again.

You're dreaming. I'm at almost 8 months...Xmas is only 5 months away. Figure next summer.

Hmmm, got the email yesterday - stock is ready! grin

Time to put in my next order.

Still waiting on two ordered third week in March. Nothing exotic, both Rem 700 SA. One Gamescout and one Edge. Don't understand how McMillan can be shipping orders made in August and I'm waiting 10 months. Better make a phone call I guess.....

I ordered a Hunters Edge for a Model 70 Classic back in June & got an email a few days ago that it's ready to be shipped. Probably earlier than I expected but I'm not complaining!
