If you take the time it takes, it takes less time.

Check at your lumberyard/building supply store for HDPE, the stuff those white cutting boards are made of. It's available in 1/2" thickness, most any size you'll need. Mine is 2'by4'.

I wish I needed a fish cleaning table....I really suck at fishing. I like to practice, but I find myself a better shooter than a caster.

Well, I fished bass tournaments in Texas since the first State Tournament in 1955 held on Lake Marble Falls, TX. I have a drive in restaurant, (leased out), but have kept the nylon cutting boards from there and carry it in my truck along with a battery operated electric knife for fileting fish. Works great for me since I clean the fish where caught. I have a larger board for lid over the live wells in the boat, this works best but wardens frown on dressed fish in the boat, some lakes here have slot limits. The nylon boards cost a little more but last for years and easy on the knives be it fish or animals. Elk hunting in Colorado the board is great in the cook tent or was before I got politically correct with a travel trailer but it works in there also. Up at the Bass Club lease we have stainless steel cleaning table and I lay the cutting board on it and put the trash in a Wal Mart plastic bag lining a bucket, just lift it out and dispose in a dumpster or let the trash man haul it off. Hope this helps. The plywood deterates very fast with water and weather. Talk to some of the restaurants and they may sell or give you one of their old cutting boards that no longer pass health inspection. Actually I have three and don't need to transfer around from boat to truck etc. -- no
