I built my 6.5 and love it. Started with a 700 short action, 26" Hart barrel, timney trigger, and a 6.5 Creedmoor came to life!!! Ground hogs worst nightmare. Took a deer past season 380yds. Luey scope with the CDS set up for 120gr. Nosler. The best rifle I've ever owned!!!!!

.270 and 130 NPTs, broseph? laugh

Probably.

It would kill stuff better than a 162 Amax.

Yeah, out to 300 yards... but when you got to 301... kiss your ass goodbye!

Why mess with a #5? MTU will build character on those hunts!

I'm think of stocking it in something along the lines of a McMillan Classic.

I don't think that MTU will quite fit, I could be wrong though.

Anybody have a Classic that'll care to offer their opinion?

Hard to beat a 6,5x47L.
I shoot a 47 against creedmores XCs 260s etc on steel.Out to 1000 yards.
I think the 47 is more consistent than the rest.
But thats just me.

Yeah, you can't trust a push feed when the chips are down,,,

But that 6.5-45 ACP would be an awfully efficient round,,, smile

If going that route, I suggest the 6.5-9mm, as the 6.5-45 ACP is way too overbore.

Come to think of it, a 6.5 x .357 SIG would be about right....

Yeah, the 6.5 Micro...

Could start a whole family of Micro clones...

And in a little bitty Micro action, that gun could come in under 3 pounds with a short pencil barrel and a McM Micro fill mini-stock...

A decent scope could double the weight...
