Last phase of the Wyoming Veterans Memorial Park is dedicated.
A 6 yr project was completed and dedicated this past week,
designed and ramrodded by my FIL.
The man is a workhorse at now 82 yrs young.
Our Governor was the guest of honor and it was a beautiful day to honor
our people.
FIL at 76 when he started this, hand picked TONS of stone, hand dug 100's of feet of trench for lighting and sprinkler line. Yes there was machinery used to do the lions share but if there was a dry spot or another light needed, out came the pick and shovel.
Too many hats this man has worn to list, A Korean war Vet himself, he poured his heart into this project and it shows
If you look closer on the right of the pic is a citizen openly carrying and there were 5 or 6 more "packing". Watched several of them greet the Gov after the dedication
and no one raised an eyebrow.
Thanks to our Wyoming Vet's who gave their all.
Thanks to all who donated and volunteered time,materials,sweat and blood to turn
this rock infested corner of our community into such a beautiful park honoring our Wyoming war dead.

I'll be out in that area in the next couple weeks. That memorial is on my list now.
