A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Hopefully the bigger critters on the dark continent in a couple years depending on how business is doing, until then smaller critters in the US and an indulgence to the Walter Mitty in me. Already had a couple 375's I liked better as 375's and didn't have a large bore rifle. The rebore changed the weight distribution and handling characteristics to a much livelier rifle.

They did a great job reboring the 375 h&h but if your in a hurry don't send it to them. Took right at a year to get it back.
Don't know what might have delayed your job, but my experience with Dan has been different. He's re-bored 2 Ruger Hawkeye 375s to 0.423" for my 404-375 Ruger wildcat. The first was an African that took just at 3 months a few years back and the last was an Alaskan that took 2 months. Just picked it up in March. Great job on both and very reasonably priced.

Price and quality were both good. He was very hard to get on the phone, and more than a few your next in line, I was out hunting, I thought I shipped it but pushed it back in the safe. That said the rifle shoots great, feeds well, and showed attention to detail I wouldn't have expected such as milling off the old caliber before remarking. I'd use his services again but not on anything I was in a rush to do. Maybe I'm the exception?

A year to get anything quality done, ain't long for me. I figure the folks have to have work all year long to pay bills, when I get in line, I could expect it to take some time.
Bottom line if it shoots and the work does look good, then its a good deal

It was a good deal and I wasn't in a hurry. Just wanted to let the other members know my experience so if they were in a hurry they'd have the knowledge.
My brothers took it out over the weekend and everyone fired it off, hit where they were aiming, and no one died of excessive recoil. My 16yo nephew who's a bit leaner than the rest of us got rocked back a little but nothing he couldn't handle. He fired a quick double and then asked for more ammo per my brother. Looks like it'll be a good 'un.

Oh I know, there are enough Mc Donalds gun folks around that its good you pointed the time line out. They are having fits still since they didn't and dont' plan ahead far enough and are out of rimfire ammo also. LOL.
