i use to drink every minute i was a wake, onetime i got hurt. the hospital said my blood alcohol was .40 + my lawyer said no way he'd be dead, but it probably was.

I've heard of a guy .51 and he walked into the ER...Large amount of vodka every day.
I know a RN at the same hospital and she said that ain't the highest she's heard of.

I used to know a guy who could (and would on a regular basis) drink 2 "fifths" a day of vodka.

The concept of dying by alcohol is funny and involves many possible quips and puns. The reality of death by alcohol is a whole �nuther thing, often involving a painful, lengthy ordeal. Having seen one of my best friends� legs begin to swell so much that his skin split with oozing, bleeding cracks, I wouldn�t wish that on anyone. And that was only what preceded something similar happening to his internal organs. I hardly recommend it as a method if suicide is prescribed.

2 quarts of vodka is the norm for a hard core drunk. i knew a guy who did it for years and he was in his 60's. he was fairly functional too right up to the end. vokda is bad stuff. its too easy to drink. i myself have done a fifth and unknown amount of beer in a day and was quite non-functional and basically blacked out. not recommended. i stick to smaller quantities of good beer these days. easier on the body and wallet.
