I drew a Bighorn tag. This will be my 50th sheep hunt!
If anyone has any Swift 140gr 7mm bullets for sale or trade let me know by PM. I need a few more to load up. Thanks!

What unit? That means everything including SUCCESS.
My wife and I started putting in for trophy tags in Idaho in '09 and I've drawn two sheep tags and one mountain goat, wife has drawn one mountain goat. We're three for four with the success.
We put in for non-trophy species for the first time this year, we'll see what happens with that draw. Folks have told us to play the lotto...

I'm waiting for mule deer results. I put in on the same late hunt I've tried for the last few years. Maybe this will be my lucky one.

Deer, elk, and antelope results are usually online about the last week of June. Patience, friends, patience.

I drew a Mountain Goat. I enjoy hunting them more than sheep, but I've only drawn one sheep and this is my 3rd lower 48 Mountain Goat.

Our Oregon sheep numbers are such that the allocation is one sheep tag in a life time. In my case it might be one tag in two life times. Been trying since 1975.

Same here in Idaho. OIL if you kill. I started applying in '09 and drew in '09. That was a california bighorn. I drew rocky in '12 but the forest fires sealed my fate in that unit... I'll reapply for rocky one of these days.
Idaho has a great draw system. Most fellas I know that have applied have drawn a OIL tag.

Idaho has a great draw system. Most fellas I know that have applied have drawn a OIL tag. My buddy in ID drew all of the OIL species in 7 years. For some of these tags the odds are relatively good compared to other states. That said, in some of the units filling them will be harder than drawing them I think...

They're now out. I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve! I drew the buck tag I've been wanting to get for a number of years!

FWIW...I've done some "scouting" hunting thus far, but I'm now getting antsy to get out now that the general deer season is about over. What we need is the weather to change...hitting the 70s frequently doesn't help. We need a good storm to bring them off the ruffs!
