Hey there guys, I'm getting a few bits and pieces together for a 7saum general purpose killing machine and would much appreciate any info that guys with some experience with it could post up please.
Just a few questions to kick off:
Will be using Norma 300saum brass necked down for a tight head spacing. If you are doing this are you getting donuts or are you good to go after the neck down?
Any recipes with H1000?
No turn reamer size? (won't be using VLDs)
Neck bushing size to suit necked down Norma 300saum brass?

At the moment I have a Stiller Predator WSM action, Lilja 9 twist #3 barrel, Atlasworx DBM, coupla Alpha 3 shot mags.
Leaning towards an Edge Game Scout.
Thanks in advance, Steve.

I like H4831sc for most loads but plan on trying IMR 7828ssc when I can get my hands on some. I load 168gr ABLR & LRX in a Pacnor 8 twist, Defiance Machine action in a McMillan mtn rifle stock

H1000, 7828, or Retumbo will shine with 175 and heavier projectiles. H1000 and 168's work well though. I would look at H4831 or H4350 powder with 140-168gr bullets.

My current load uses Norma 7 SAUM brass & 180's with a full case of Retumbo. I was getting some strange pressure issues with H4831 with 180's. As I tried slower powder the recoil got less snappy, and seem to recoil softer.

I tried some Norma 300 SAUM brass, but I had to neck turn them.

Thanks for the tips guys.
The SAUM seems to be on a bit of a rise finally maybe?
