that is pretty clever, its too bad I have lost faith in the tracking ability of leupold scopes. I did something similar with a mark 4 by using shims under the dial. I had problems with that scope. I theorized that when you dial the scope back down to zero it creates an upward force on the turret stem. that is what is putting pressure on the erector assembly inside the scope. I would personally dial up and bottom the scopes adjustment out against that zero stop several times then check the rifle zero.

I have been running a couple for better than a year and have not had any problems with them so far, I might just be lucky though.

I'm very happy with this turret. It's very easy to install.
